How Permaculture Can Save Humanity and the Planet – but Not Civilization

How Permaculture Can Save Humanity and the Planet - but Not Civilization

How Permaculture Can Save Humanity and the Planet – but Not Civilization a talk given by Toby Hemenway, author of the book Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-scale Permaculture.

What is Permaculture? How can it save the planet?
From the Stone Age to the Oil Age. From thousands of years of foraging or hunt-gathering and horticulture all the way up to the comparatively new agriculture event which shaped our world, our society and locked us in the trap we’re in. Focusing on the misinformation regarding agriculture, an event that pinpoints the beginning of “Civilization” as we know today, Toby Hemenway reveals how we can smoothly overcome this transition period and move on to the next culture event: Permaculture, the first step towards living totally off the grid.

You will see how agriculture is responsible for the demise of the whole enviroment in which it is implemented. Not only that but also how agriculture has taken society apart, isolating its members, forcing a whole new social structure that promotes detachment between the common people and their leaders thus creating burocracy.
It is also shown here the falacies, lies and misinformation regarding agriculture and agricultural peoples compared to the so underrated and overlooked horticulture event.
In this brilliant lecture you will see how Permaculture can save humanity and the Earth, but not civilization as we know it.

The Awakening (2012) a film by Max Igan

“In the 21st century, the world is experiencing difficult times. No matter how one chooses to look at things, or how much of a positive attitude one tries to adopt, there is still a great deal of uncertainty among most people in regards to the future and many of those who have taken the time to investigate and who are aware of such things, see the situation as hopeless and many feel powerless in the face of the New World Order Leviathan that is ever more quickly engulfing our civilization. Yet the reality is that the people are not powerless at all, in fact quite the opposite is true, for there is a very simple and effective way to stop the new world order in its tracks.

Let’s be honest about it. The system we live under is corrupt. It’s rotten to the core. It about self service and its run by psychopaths and criminals and everyone knows it. And they get away with it, and the world continues along in this dysfunctional manner simply because we let it continue. So stop going along with it. Understand that the way to bring about real change in the world is through non compliance to the system. And many ask what is non compliance? Does this mean I should quit my job and burn all my money and the answer to any questions such as these is no, of course not. Non compliance is about doing the right thing, its about disconnecting yourself from the system, being responsible for your thoughts, for your actions and your intentions and it lies very much in realizing your own potential. Kymatica (2009)

Kymatica (2009)

Kymatica (2009) is a film by Ben Stewart that deals in metaphysics and the evolution of the “self”.

“In nature, all that we perceive with our five senses is a result of two fundamental principles. Everything in existence is made of a relationship between vibration and matter. Vibration is a masculine creative force countered by matter, which is a feminine receptive force. Thus begins the principle of duality. We see this duality in ancient myths and philosophies, yet only those philosophies and scriptures that were perverted and raped of the original meaning gave the impression that one polarity was good while the other was evil. The original sages, adepts and shamans taught that both are necessary and one would not exist without the other. These two important principles come together to form all things in the universe. THIS IS KYMATICA.”
